Beers + Cutler

Beers + Cutler, a top 50 accounting firm with 300 associates based in Washington, D.C, was starting to challenge the “Big 3” accounting firm giants on a national level. Realizing that the firm needed to evolve their overall positioning and brand experience across channels - they partnered with Coexist.

Opportunity

In an effort to separate this accounting firm from the pack, Coexist started with robust branding exercises involving key associates at Beers + Cutler ranging from the senior partners all the way down to recent new hires. Findings from this initial research ultimately led to a complete repositioning of the company through a new identity, color palette, tone of voice and overall aesthetic which drove the foundation of the new website.

Execution

In an effort to bring a real human element to this new digital touch point for the brand while evolving both the recruiting and new business efforts - Coexist art directed new photography and video shoots focused on the firm’s people, places, culture and lifestyle. Showcasing Beers + Cutler leaders via conversations through online videos really helped clients get a feel for the experts behind the brand. An extensive information architecture plan really helped to organize the overall website content and present it in a very intuitive and user-friendly format focused both on recruiting and new business needs.

 

Results

A new attention to detail online (oddly enough, an absolute rarity in the corporate accounting world) is the perfect translation of the firm’s level of professionalism. This evolved digital profile has led to a substantial increase in new business across a diverse range of services.
