Meyers + Associates Architecture boasts an impressive portfolio steeped in sustainable “green” design. With the completion of their own new headquarters in downtown Columbus, the timing was perfect to partner with Coexist to create a new online experience worthy of the brand’s own keen eye for design.
Opportunity
On the heels of explosive growth and new headquarters — an urban renewal, LEED certified project earning the attention of the design industry at large — the opportunity was ripe for a new online extension. This new online experience would need to embrace all of the qualities inherent in the firm’s architectural projects incorporating clean white space, modern sensibilities, elegant typography and a "less is more" approach to presenting information focused on the end user. A disciplined approach was undertaken to ensure a simple, user-friendly navigation style that would allow users to breeze through the site — refreshingly unfettered with a beautiful lack of puffery and unnecessary marketing speak.
Execution
A typical user’s initial introduction to the Meyers + Associates brand online begins with a graceful video piece integrated into Flash against a clean, white backdrop. Simple sections highlighting the firm, its people and the portfolio are generously laid out with minimal distraction. Vivid photography is complimented by an online video that lets users sit back and take in a quick movie highlighting the diverse mix of projects coming through these doors.
Results
This exercise in “minimalism” applied online has resulted in a generous up-tick in website traffic and overall awareness. Industry peers, vendors and customers have hailed the crisp experience as one of the best, differentiated architecture websites of the year. Several new business opportunities further prove this new digital marketing effort to be a stunning success.
